The short version
The app keeps your designs, projects and machine data on your Mac. We do not collect, sell or share your data. Nothing leaves your Mac unless you choose to send it.
What stays on your Mac
- Your projects, designs, bits, cut settings and job records.
- The app's logs and problem reports.
- Photos from a bed camera, if you connect one.
- Your Anthropic API key, if you add one. It is stored in your Mac's Keychain.
When something leaves your Mac, and only because you asked
- Ask, Explain and Generate (optional). When you press one of these buttons, the app sends your question and facts about the open project to Anthropic, using your own API key: the project's and workpiece's names, the stock, the steps, the bit, the cut settings, and for Explain up to 40 shape names and sizes. Anthropic's own privacy policy covers what happens there. Nothing is sent until you press the button. Without a key, these features are off.
- Claude Desktop connection (optional, off at every launch). While you have it switched on, Claude Desktop on your Mac can read your open project, as described in the app's Help. Anthropic's policy covers Claude Desktop.
What we never do
- No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
- We never sell or share your data.

The app is not directed at children.
